It is\\npurely geometrical from start to finish, on geometrical lines\\nreduced to those indispensable to accuracy and simplicity.\\nThese two features are conspicuous in bringing out the points\\nand establishing them unerringly, fixing them so they agree\\nwith the contour of the figure, no matter what the shape may\\nbe. It dispenses with all measuring sticks and harness and\\nmany other devices which only confuse the artist, and often\\nget him into more trouble. To find the angles formed in\\ncenter of back, in measuring, making this the basis, all the\\nother points are discovered.\\nAfter fifteen years of close study of this most difficult\\nproblem, always sanguine of its solution, not until I was\\nforced by circumstances to give it more application, unbroken\\nand undisturbed did it dawn on me like a revelation so\\nclearly did this appear to me that I was confident of its truth-\\nfulness. To make assurance doubly sure, I tested it on the\\nmost extreme shapes, extra square, the sloping, round, cor-\\npulent, stooping, extra erect and on all the abnormal shapes.\\nThe results of these tests warrant me in making the above\\nstatements.\\nI shall be glad to go into an analysis with the purchaser\\nof the book any time at his convenience, although not neces-\\nsary, as its simplicity reveals itself.
